Coca-Cola India received the "Bhagidari Award" from
the Delhi Government for the fourth consecutive year for its
efforts in water conservation and community development.
During 2006, our Company installed 40 rainwater harvesting
(RWH) structures in India, ten of which were installed in Delhi.
To date, we have commissioned 270 RWH structures across the
country, including 80 structures in Delhi.
On World Water day, Coca-Cola India organized JAL TARANG 2006,
a festival to celebrate water & culture. At the event, a
painting competition was organized for children on the theme
of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recharge Water. Twelve
of the paintings were selected to be made into a 2007 water
calendar. Additionally, our Company has undertaken several projects
involving paper and PET (plastic) recycling, education, health
and disaster relief.
Coca-Cola India also announced plans in February to commission
50 RWH structures across the country during 2007, ten of which
will be installed in Delhi..
