New Coca-Cola Packs Say "Recycle Now" in Great Britain

February 5, 2008

Coca-Cola Great Britain (GB) is heralding the launch of a bold new addition to all its brands' packaging with a high-profile initiative to promote recycling. From January onwards, new GB product packaging will feature the "Recycle Now" logo on cans and bottles for the first time. The distinctive recycling logo is well-known to British consumers and will appear first on the new pack designs for Coca-Cola®, "Diet Coke® and Coke Zero® with other brands following suit throughout 2008.

In keeping with its commitment to environmental sustainability, the logo on the Coca-Cola brand packs alone will give British consumers an estimated 1.8 billion opportunities to see the message. The vast majority of Coca-Cola Great Britain's brands' packaging is 100% recyclable, with cans made from 50% recycled aluminum and glass bottles made from 30% recycled glass.
