Coca-Cola India to Set Up 16 Rain Water Harvesting Projects in Madhya Pradesh |

Coca-Cola India and UN-HABITAT recently unveiled a rain
water harvesting (RWH) project at Hamidia Boys Higher Secondary
School in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The initiative is one of 16
projects the Company will launch in cooperation with the Lake
Conservation Authority of Madhya Pradesh to conserve and improve
access to water in the area.
Alka Upadhaya, CEO of the Lake Conservation Authority, announced
the launch of the project, which, once completed, will have
the capacity to harvest 100,000 liters of rain water per year.
UN-HABITAT and Coca-Cola India are working to provision safe
drinking water and provide sanitation for the urban poor in
150 schools of West Bengal, in addition to providing improved
water management and sanitation in four districts of Nepal.
