February 5, 2008
Consumers looking to improve their health through a better
diet were presented with a new choice in January 2008, when
Coca-Cola Japan launched the household-friendly 900ml PET bottle
size of its popular Minute Maid® Fiber apple juice beverage.
Minute Maid Fiber is certified as a "Food for Specified
Health Uses" (FOSHU) product, made with 70% apple juice
and containing vitamin C and about 16,000mg of dietary fiber
per 900ml. It was first launched in November 2007 in the portable
190ml and 280ml PET bottle sizes, and proved to be popular among
consumers as a tasty beverage and a convenient way to get some
of their essential daily intake of vitamin C and dietary fiber
while staying hydrated.
