Well-being & ChoiceWell-being is an increasingly important issue for consumers and our business. Poor nutrition and lack of physical activity can contribute to health problems. The consequences associated with obesity and other health-related conditions, particularly among young people, are a growing concern for our stakeholders.To address this critical issue:
The Coca-Cola system is voluntarily expanding nutrition labeling
so that consumers can make informed dietary choices. In the United
States, new packaging will include caffeine content in addition to
the other detailed nutrition information already on packaging. In
2006, Coca-Cola Australia began providing caloric information per
serving on labels based on consultation with stakeholders and consumer
groups. And by 2008, all Coca-Cola products in the European Union
will have expanded nutrition labeling based on Guideline Daily Amounts,
in an initiative supported by other industry leaders and stakeholders.
