Workplace CultureWe
are focused on strategic workplace programs that help assure the success of our
commitment to embracing the similarities and differences of people, cultures and
ideas. Communications - We strive to communicate our diversity efforts to our
workforce. We provided regular updates to associates at various stages of the
discrimination lawsuit settlement with the U.S. District Court for the Northern
District of Georgia in 2000. Associates were able to view the Diversity
Task Force Reports in full. Since settlement of the lawsuit, we have
continued our communications efforts through our online Diversity as Business
newsletter, our Diversity Speakers Series, training, workshops, updates from our
Diversity Advisory Council and Employee Forum programming. Diversity
Advisory Council - The Company's Diversity Advisory Councils consists
of a representative group of associates from all functions and business units
of the organization. The Council develops recommendations for senior management
on advancing the Company's efforts towards achieving our diversity objectives.
Employee
Forums - We believe that a sense of community enhances our ability
to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent and ideas as a source of competitive
business advantage. In the United States, through employee forums,
associates can connect with colleagues who share similar interests and backgrounds.
In those forums and elsewhere, associates support each other's personal and professional
growth and enhance their individual and collective ability to contribute to the
company. Currently active forums include:
