The Company normally pays dividends four times a year, usually April 1, July 1, October 1 and December 15. Stock splits must be recommended by management to the Board of Directors and then approved by the Company's shareowners. Also, there must be enough shares authorized to affect a split. Stock of The Coca-Cola Company has split 10 times since 1919 in an effort to lower the absolute price per share to a more attractive and convenient purchase level; however, there is not a predetermined price ceiling or set time frame for a stock split to occur.
