John M. Guarino is Regional Director, Nordics, Middle East
and Africa for the Bottling Investments Group.
He joined the Coca-Cola system in 1997 as
Senior Regional Manager for the Gulf States in the Middle
East. In 2000, he was appointed President, Middle East and
North Africa Division covering twenty two countries. In
2002 he became Chief Executive Officer of Coca- Cola Erfrischungsgetränke,
the Company bottler in Berlin, Germany. In 2005 he was appointed
to his current role, based in London.
For the last 20 years, Mr. Guarino has held various international
executive positions and has lived and worked in Europe and
the Middle East. Prior to joining Coca-Cola,
Mr. Guarino had an extensive career with Philip Morris Companies
Inc, in a variety of executive roles living in Sweden, the
United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. His last role at Philip
Morris was Region Director, Africa and Middle East.
Mr. Guarino serves on the boards of many Coca-Cola
bottlers, both private and public. He also served on the
board of the Fulbright Commission in Germany. He earned
his Bachelors degree from Rider University and his MBA from
Northeastern University; both in his native United States.
