Katie J. Bayne, President and General Manager, Sparkling Beverages, is responsible for the revitalization and growth of the sparkling beverage business for Coca-Cola North America.
Born in Perth, Australia, Ms. Bayne joined the Company in August of 1989 in Atlanta as Assistant Brand Manager, Diet Colas. She progressed through a series of brand management positions, including New Products.
In 1992, Ms. Bayne moved to Los Angeles where she was responsible for entertainment marketing and promotion across all brands.
In 1994, Ms. Bayne returned to Atlanta and was named Senior Consumer Strategist in Worldwide Presence Marketing where she led the development of new sports and entertainment brand activation strategies and plans.
In 1996, Ms. Bayne moved to Sydney, Australia to create a retail marketing arm for Coca-Cola South Pacific, and eventually was responsible for all customer/channel strategy in cold drink, foodservice and vending.
In June of 2000, Ms. Bayne returned to the U.S. as Managing Director of Marketing for The McDonald's Group, and was promoted in 2002 to Vice President Marketing for The McDonald's group. Since her return to the U.S., Ms. Bayne has made significant contributions to Coca-Cola North America in a number of marketing roles, including Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Senior Vice President, Coca-Cola Brands.
In April 2007, Ms. Bayne was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer, Coca-Cola North America. She was responsible for knowledge and insights, consumer communication, brand programming, media, sports/entertainment, interactive marketing, AACM and HACM marketing, marketing capability and recruiting.
Ms. Bayne holds a BA from Duke University, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University .
Ms. Bayne is a member of the Board of Directors for The Atlanta Women's Foundation. She is also an active member of the Women's Leadership Council at The Coca-Cola Company. |
