Corporate Social Responsibility Programs In China Receive Awards

Corporate social responsibility programs in rural education, youth development, environmental protection and HIV/AIDS prevention won Coca-Cola China a string of awards between September and December 2005.

The accolades include "Model Corporate Citizen" and "2005 China Philanthropy" awards from The China Charity Federation, The Guangming "Corporate Social Responsibility Award for Multinationals." "China's Best Corporate Citizen" from The Ministry of Civil Affairs, an "Environmental Protection Award for Corporate Citizens" from The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and 21st Century Business Herald's "China's Best Corporate Citizen Conduct Award."

The honors are in recognition of Coca-Cola China's rural health education initiatives, HIV/AIDS awareness activities, environmental protection work and programs such as Coca-Cola Project Hope, which supports primary schools across the country.

The awards place Coca-Cola China as a corporate social responsibility leader in the marketplace, setting benchmarks for the rest of corporate China.
