Coca-Cola Germany long ago began introducing a wide variety of 2006 FIFA World Cup consumer programs to appeal to all manner of individual groups of football fans in the host country.
Among its numerous initiatives, Coca-Cola Germany is providing a large contingent of young German Flag Bearers and Referee Escorts, who often are being joined by international youth counterparts (from 27 additional nations) in the opening ceremonies at various FIFA World Cup matches.
In addition, a special Coca-Cola Ball Crew -- totaling approximately 900 German youths -- will have a key role along the pitch at every tournament contest.
