80th Anniversary
The Coca-Cola Company in 2008 celebrates its 80th year of continuous
involvement with the Olympic Games, a partnership unmatched by any
other corporate supporter.
The relationship began when a ship delivered the U.S. Olympic Team
and 1,000 cases of Coca-Cola to the Amsterdam 1928 Olympic Games.
Since then, The Coca-Cola Company has been dedicated to refreshing
athletes and fans and creating memorable Olympic Games experiences,
through alliances with the International Olympic Committee, the organizers
of the Games of each Olympiad, and National Olympic Committees around
the globe. Coca-Cola provides significant financial support for the
staging of the Olympic Games and to help athletes train and live their
dreams by competing in the world's biggest multisport event.
